The largest hotel atrium in West Texas will be the site of Saturday night’s banquet.

The recently renovated Holiday Inn Park Plaza will be the site of the 79th Annual Meeting.  Conveniently located on Loop 289 southwest of Texas Tech University, the conference hotel is near the fastest growing and most exciting area of Lubbock.  It is only minutes away from Texas Tech, downtown Lubbock, the Depot Entertainment District, and the Buddy Holly Museum.  Believe it or not, the Holiday Inn Park Plaza boasts “the largest hotel atrium in Lubbock and West Texas.”  In addition to fantastic conference facilities, the hotel has the following amenities: an on-site restaurant featuring a great breakfast buffet, free Internet access, an indoor pool, a fitness center, free parking, and completely remodeled rooms.

The TAS has 100 rooms blocked (10 of those are student rooms) at the rate of $89.00 plus tax for a double or a single.  Students, you may cram four people into a student room for the $89.00 rate.  To request one of the student rooms, please call the hotel reservation desk directly.  Non-students, to ensure that you get the conference rate, please make your reservations early and mention the TAS conference when booking your room.  You may reserve your room by calling the hotel directly at the number above or online.  For online reservations, go to www.ichotelsgroup.com and search for the Holiday Inn Park Plaza in Lubbock and enter TAS as the Group Code.  To receive the group rate, you must make your reservations by September 25, 2008.
