2008 Field School Youth Group Information

To participate in the Youth Group at the 2008 annual Field School, a child must be between 7 and 14 years old (as of June 1, 2008) and have completed first grade.  Exceptions have been made for younger kids in past Field Schools, but the Field School Committee has decided that no exceptions will be made this year.  The TAS wants the Field School to be a family affair, but we also want to maintain the quality of the experience for the older kids.

Please note that parents who bring a young child to Field School will have to make their own arrangements to leave the child in camp with an adult.

As a reminder, all Youth Group participants must be TAS members and registered to attend the Field School with a parent or an adult TAS sponsor.  For each child attending with an adult sponsor, a Sponsor Agreement (attached to the registration form) must be signed and notarized by the parent and the sponsor (although each signature can be notarized separately).

All parents and sponsors must sign up to work with the Youth Group for at least one day.  However, we welcome any adults, especially those with some archeology experience, to come and work with the Youth Group for the whole week.  We really like to have a core group of adult supervisors who are there from start to finish.

We look forward to seeing you in the Texas Panhandle!

Doug Boyd and Neal Stilley
Youth Group Directors
