Will you require compensation for any expenses? If I fly or have to stay overnight in a motel.

Will you charge a fee? That would be decided on a case-by-case basis. Usually for archaeological/historical societies that do not offer one, the answer is that I would not charge one. For Universities or large societies I usually charge $100.00 (but that has been waived for student groups).
