It is with great sadness that the Texas Archeological Society must announce the cancellation of the 2020 TAS Field School due to COVID-19 concerns. Our primary consideration is for the safety of our members. There is simply no way of knowing what the pandemic situation will be in early June and we feel it would be irresponsible to continue planning and implementation of a large gathering at this time.
We will begin issuing refunds for field school registrations as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience in this difficult time.
We are happy to report that Marvin Gohlke, landowner for our field school in Kerrville, will extend his welcome to TAS in June 2021. We appreciate the time and effort that members of the Local Arrangements Committee, the Hill Country Archeological Association, Eric Oksanen, and the TAS Field School Committee have contributed toward the planning and logistics for field school. Those efforts will result in an even more educational, successful, fun-filled event in 2021.
